It's been a while since I wrote a journal entry (not sure if anyone reads them either?) But I thought I'd go ahead and let you all know what's been going on and coming up.
First off, our very own Rust LARP (steampunk/fantasy genre) is about to have it's third Event this weekend. Everyone seems to really like it! It's been a lot of fun working out the kinks and details with all the players. It's just going to get better! dressing in costume, battling with foam swards and Nerf guns, and telling great stories...it's just awesome!
Secondly, the commissions keep coming and I'm swamped but happy! Thanks to everyone for being so patient. More commissions coming soon. Had to put a halt on Cyburg due to the commission workload, getting Rust underway, and the peak season coming up at the Blick warehouse but I will NOT abandon a life's pursuit! Crash and Burn WILL LIVE!!
As far as personal stuff, I won't bore anyone with all the dramatic details (I'm not really that type) but after a REALLY bad year I'm coming to terms with where I am. Some VERY close friends drifted away after some terrible events happened that shook us to our cores but I found the strength to build my world back up from the ashes and pain. I'm moving on stronger than ever but bearing more deep scars. I think my anger had something to with it...both the drifting away and the healing. I've had several tough times in my life but my sorrow has always turned to rage and that has somehow kept me in this world more than once. Healthy? Maybe not...but it works. So does the humor that comes out of some of the commissions. I'm starting to feel like Crash again.
Anyway, I'm stronger and ready to get to work! If you're interested, listen to the song "The Day Is My Enemy" by The Prodigy and you'll actually hear what's going on in my head...pure determination to be the best I can be!
Thanks to everyone who visits my gallery and favorites any of my artwork. It really means a lot to me that you guys still like the stuff that I do. Without that support I think I'd simply lose it completely. Thanks so very much!!

Let me try that again...
Wow. Been a while, huh? I said I wasn't leaving DA but Life proved me a liar. I had to get my head straight for a long while, but I never stopped drawing. I do still have a Patreon page if anyone wants to help support me (I'd be ever so grateful!) https://www.patreon.com/Crash2014
Anyway, I'm back. Hopefully for real this time! Lots of artwork to share, although a lot will be Patreon exclusives. And I will always post stuff on Patreon first and on DA a while later so there's a perk for supporting my artwork. I'll also only be taking commissions through Patreon, so if you want something in particular we'll go through there.

Hello? May I join the party again?
Hi there! Long time no see, huh? Well this past summer has been busy, stressful, depressing, and exciting for me. Yeah, it was a veritable monsoon of emotions. First off, I'd like to thank all my new DA Watchers and anyone who has liked any of my artwork enough to add it to their favorites list. I see I have 4,374 notifications... :faint: I try to answer and thank each comment but I don't think I'll have the time to ever catch up from that! So in case I haven't done it personally, I Thank You for the interest in my work! I still have a Patreon page with stuff there that hasn't been displayed anywhere else, but as of yet I only have a few patr
I'm on Patreon!!
A few fans and friends talked to me about it and a good friend helped me get started. I would LOVE to make more time (and extra cash, not gonna lie...I have bills to pay) for my artwork and this may just be the ticket. If you are interested, please look me up and become a patron. https://www.patreon.com/Crash2014?utm_campaign=plaunchemail1&utm_medium=email
Oh and I will not be leaving DeviantArt. But I will be posting new stuff (as well as exclusive content) on Patreon weeks before I post it here, Facebook, or anywhere else. So if you want to see the stuff first become a patron and help support me...also, there are some cool rewards too!
R.I.P. Bernie Wrightson
The man whose artwork captured my imagination and inspired me to draw seriously when I was a kid has passed. I still remember being awestruck when I first saw Bernie's Swamp Thing and Batman: the Cult comics. I wanted to draw like him and that developed my own style into what it is today. He will always be the single greatest inspiration to me.
